Recordings in the Gennett catalog ranged from sound effects and famous speeches by American statesmen, to novelties like the National Marimba Orchestra and blues, to pop and gospel artists Thomas A. Dorsey, Charley Patton and Gene Autrey who helped shape American popular music.
